Baked Cheese Grits

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grits
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup egg substitute

Directions

1. Boil the water and add the salt and grits. Cook, uncovered, over low heat for 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Stir the flour, cheese, green onion, garlic, and egg substitute into the grits. Pour into a nonstick baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.
